LIFTING AND WATER SPRINKLERS

The coopers assemble one by one the number of staves required depending on the diameter and the type of barrel to be manufactured, using a chime hoop at the top to lift the initial truncated conical structure. It is then compressed with two extra hoops, which are hammered down to provide the maximum rigidity.

The lifted barrels shower under the water sprinklers in order to make them more flexible.
